Another Piece for the New Family Room

Slowly but surely the new room is coming together. I found this chair at Trees and Trends and it is the absolute perfect color. I want to find some accent pillows if possible. Will check out Hobby Lobby and Pier 1. There's also a store in Murray called Element. I'll drop in there after my final exam on Friday.

Book Binding by Nancy

One of our sessions at Summer Institute last week was to create a book using wooden book covers and a marbling technique taught to us by Ike and Charlotte Irwin. It was a wonderful lesson and one that I will use in my Advanced Art classes. This is my finished piece.

Apartment Hunting in Louisville

Mama, Daddy, Annie and I went to help Lauren search for her first home in Louisville. We had such a nice time driving through some of the neighborhoods. We're praying hard that we found the perfect place for her. Oh, we had lunch at The Fishery before continuing the search. NOTE: Lauren got the apartment in the Highlands. It's the exact place that we prayed for. She and I both knew that was it as soon as we opened the door. The Miracle on 34th Street mantel told us it was the place. She loves it and so do I.

My Garden 2009

The huge hosta was a gift from mom on Mother's Day two years ago. It is just beautiful and fills that spot along the stone path just perfectly. The euyonimous has grown so much that it grew up between the brick and the concrete block (you can see it up at the bedroom window). Oh no!! Daddy I'm on my way out there right now to snip that puppy down. The trumpet vine is just beautiful and maybe a little bit taking over my garden. I will formulate a plan for that in a few days and the green trellis will hold a clematis hopefully next spring.
