Care to Make a Guess????

Sad News

Sad news today from Uncle Claude. Alexa is not doing well at all. They told him she might not live through this week. They've been married a long long time and had quite an adventurous life together.

I'm Getting Tired

My post about the trip to Chicago is such a jumbled mess. I think I've been going way too fast for far longer than I've needed to and it's starting to catch up with me. After this upcoming trip to Wichita I have to make myself slow down a bit. I tried to organize the photos in a way that would make sense but there are blurry snapshots and they aren't in the sequence I had hoped for. I'll do better next time.

The Windy City from Navy Pier

Nancy Goes to Chicago

What a fun trip we had. Karen, Ginny, Pat and I took the train to the Windy City for three days of shopping and shows. Actually we did very little shopping and did do the Art Institute and the Field Museum. We saw tons of fascinating things. Seeing Wicked again was great and Blue Man Group was a riot. If you haven't seen it you really should.

All that's left of the two old Oaks

It's kind of sad those two old trees are gone. Daddy says they were that same height when he was a kid so they've been around for a while. They had so much wind damage it will take weeks to get rid of all the limbs. They will have the largest bonfire in the county if he gets started burning all those limbs. He's getting quite a pile of them in the barn lot.
He also played with his GPS all afternoon trying to figure out one of the features. He walked all over the place seeing if it would lead him home and it never did!!! Wonder what the problem is. He'll figure it out though. He doesn't give up until he does.

An Afternoon in Murray

I drove to Murray this afternoon to visit Lane and to hang some curtains in their apartment. The curtains turned out pretty good considering they had nothing up to this point. Lane also showed me how he could climb on this crazy wall Logan has. It's pretty cool, rad, narly. Hey Logan what would be the climbing lingo for that? Logan had taken off to climb in Southern Illinois and Lauren followed along for the fun of it. I enjoyed my time with Lane and the drive home was just beautiful. It was a great day. Church was awesome too so it was a perfect day.

Reed's Team Won

Reed's team played in the finals last night and they won!!!! They play again tomorrow night. It's going to be a cold one too. Janice says she's going to have to bundle up real good to sit out in this one. The temps are down in the 40's the past couple of nights. Play hard Reed and win another one.
